Meet Jessica and Grant. Jessica and Grant are simple folks with a love for family, friends, good music, and a great party!

Jessica made it clear that she did not want a lot of frills. Frills are just not her thing. She didn't want a lot of flowers or extravagant decor. She loved the natural surroundings of her parents' house on the lake in Hernando, MS. This is the area Jessica chose for the ceremony.

After getting ready at her grandmother's home on the opposite side of the lake, Jessica was ready to make her grand exit out of her parents' house and into the backyard!

The backyard was transformed into a formal setting, fit for a wedding ceremony, with the addition of an aisle runner, chair covers, and beautifully tied sashes.

The rich, full backdrop of trees stood alone as an altar, with no extra decor needed. The scene was naturally beautiful, perfect for the 50 family members, who were invited to share this intimate time with Jessica and Grant.

The bridal party attire was very appropriate for the setting, with the groomsmen in natural tones and the bridesmaids in a deep fall shade. Everyone looked wonderful, even the groomsmen in their flip flops...

and the lovely bride! This was a reflection of Jessica and Grant's personal style, which is laid back and a lot of fun!

The lovely bride offered a kiss to the coordinator. Then it was off to the reception, where the small group of 52 was joined by 100 additional guests to celebrate.

The reception was held at the Ballinese Ballroom in downtown Memphis, TN. The venue has a contemporary feel with it's exposed brick walls, and the bar and lobby area, to the side of the ballroom, create a very laid back atmosphere. Family and friends felt free to relax and enjoy themselves.

Family spent time gathered at the mic to express their love for Jessica and Grant, and offer some words of wisdom.

Jessica and Grant were toasted...

and then danced with family and friends to the "rockin' on the river style" tunes of Free World, a band they had been introduced to in college.

Everything about this wedding reflected Jessica and Grant. The key element to having a beautiful wedding is that it reflect both the bride and the groom. When family and friends have come to celebrate the couple they love, there is a joy in seeing elements that come straight from the heart of that bride and groom. Ultimately, this is what makes a fabulous wedding!
